Census correction

This refers to the news report, ‘Importance of national census highlighted’ (March 25). In paragraph five of the report I was quoted as saying that “In the US and the UK it (census) was a five-yearly activity while in Australia it was annual”.The actual population census is conducted at ten-yearly

This refers to the news report, ‘Importance of national census highlighted’ (March 25). In paragraph five of the report I was quoted as saying that “In the US and the UK it (census) was a five-yearly activity while in Australia it was annual”.
The actual population census is conducted at ten-yearly intervals in the US and the UK and after every five years in Australia.
