ABBOTTABAD: Doctors have rejected the biometric system of attendance and vowed to continue their duties according to previous protocols in the district. The announcement was made by representatives of Provincial Doctors Association (PDA), Young Doctors Association (YDA), People’s Doctors Forum (PDF), Pakistan Islamic Medical Association (PIMA) & Malgari Doctaran here on Sunday. PDF information secretary Dr Daud Iqbal, on behalf of the doctor community, told the newsmen that at a joint meeting, the members of various associations unanimously rejected the newly introduced biometric system of attendance at hospitals, including Ayub Teaching Hospital, Abbottabad.He said that doctors’ duty hours were not defined and they have to be on call 24 hours while the biometric system is confined to office-hours only.
