BHAKKAR: The locals Saturday urged the higher authorities of Pakistan Railways to restore train service on Multan-Kundian route.
The locals told reporters that Thal Express, Multan Express and Mari Express used to run on the Multan-Kundian route, but now this route presents a deserted look due to suspension of the trains.
The railway stations on the route have become dens of drug peddlers and card players are seen on the stations busy in their game.
INFORMATION OFFICER: DCO Muhammad Zaman Wattoo Saturday said Public Information Officers have been posted under the Punjab Transparency and Right to Information Action and desired information can be sought from them.
He said notification of the appointment of the officers would be displayed for the public.
VIGILANCE BODIES: The DCO also established Sub Divisional Vigilance Committee in all sub divisions of Bhakkar district.
Every committee will be headed by Assistant Commissioner and six members, including a woman member, and the body would be answerable to the District Vigilance Committee.
