During election campaigns, it is necessary that a politician adopts a positive approach and gains the confidence of people by highlighting what his or her policies are and how they will be implemented during his or her term. However, it is evident from the current political scenario that politicians in Pakistan enjoy degrading their political rivals in the eyes of people. They hurl abuses at each other and spend most of the time in character assassination. It is important that politicians realise that they should adopt a civil means of delivering speeches during the campaign. They must focus on the distinct qualities that make them better leaders and stay away from humiliating others.
