CHAKWAL: Jamaat-e-Islami district ameer Prof Hameed Malik Thursday said the JI is launching its 12-day mass contact campaign to induct more than 10 million new voters and members into the party until April 15.
Addressing a press conference at Chakwal Press Club, the JI leader said the party would participate in the forthcoming local bodies’ elections and in Chakwal district the JI would try its best to unite all political and religious forces.
Chaudhry Ameer Khan, Qazi Zafar Iqbal, JI ameer city Chakwal and Pir Akbar Saqi Naqashbandi were also present.
Dr Hameed said he received very positive response from ex-district nazim Sardar Ghulam Abbas.
He said the JI wanted to play its positive role resolving current Middle East crisis, adding that JI chief Siraj-ul-Haq wanted to bring all major Muslim countries on one platform.
