Action against contractors warned

BHAKKAR: DCO Muhammad Zaman Wattoo has said that strict action will be taken against those contractors who will use substandard material while completing development projects in the district.
He said this while chairing a meeting of contractors and other officers here on Wednesday. The DCO said that no compromise would be tolerated on quality of work in development schemes in the district. He directed the contractors and other officers concerned to complete the projects timely.
TAX DEFAULTER HELD: The Income Tax Department on Wednesday arrested a man for being defaulter of Rs 2.3 million tax.
On the order of Income Tax Department Deputy Commissioner Tauqeer Ahmad, the department’s inspector Abdul Razzaq raided and arrested Muhammad Riaz, owner of an auto company situated on Jhang Road.
