288 nomination papers filed for cantonment polls

A total of 288 candidates have submitted nomination papers for the six cantonment boards (CBs) in the city as date for submission of papers ended on Wednesday.
The cantonment boards in Karachi have been divided into 32 wards.
35 candidates have submitted nomination papers in five wards of the Karachi Cantonment Board. 114 for 10 wards of the Clifton Cantonment Board. 74 candidates for 10 wards of the Faisal Cantonment Board. 37 for three wards of the Malir Cantonment Board. 20 for two wards of the Korangi Creek Cantonment Board and eight for two wards of the Manora Cantonment Board. Only one candidate has submitted papers for the ward No-2 of Korangi Creek Cantonment Board and if he passes the scrutiny then he would be elected unopposed on the seat.
