LAHORE: The CTD on Wednesday claimed to have foiled a terrorism plan in Faisalabad by arresting a terrorist associated with the Taliban. Explosives and weapons were recovered from his possession, as a source said the CTD made the arrest in the Saim Pul area in Millat Town on a tip-off. Sajid Rasheed, a member of proscribed outfit Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), was on his way to attack the personnel of a law enforcement agency. The seized items included explosives (1700 grams), safety fuse (8 feet) and two detonators to make an IED (improvised explosive device) as well as a pistol and six bullets.
