LAHORE: A westerly wave is affecting upper/central parts of the country and likely to move north eastward during next 12 to 18 hours.
Hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country, however, scattered rain-thunderstorm associated with gusty winds is expected in Malakand, Hazara, Gujranwala, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan while at isolated places in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Kohat and DI Khan divisions.
High speed wind and rain marked late night on Saturday and it continued to rain at scatted places with pauses. The Met offices recorded 2 mm rain at its recording centre. The total rain at different spots was, however, more than 2 mm. parts of the country where it rained on Sunday were Rawalakot 95 mm, Kotli 69, Murree 63, Sialkot Cantt 47, Rawalpindi 44, Garhi Dupatta 44, Islamabad 41, Sargodha, Chakwal 39, Mangla, Kakul 35, , Muzaffarabad 34, Kalam 33, Noorpur Thal 32, Astore, Pattan 29, Jhelum, Balakot 27, Joharabad 24, Dir 22, Mandi Bahauddin 19, Gujranwala, Malamjaba 18, Skardu 17, Bhakkar, Drosh 15, DI Khan 13, Sialkot (AP) 12, Mirkhani 10, Parachinar 09, Chitral, Chillas, Gujrat 08, Saidu Sharif and Bunji 06 mm.
