Mardan butchers protest raids, fines

MARDAN: Butchers in the Mardan the district here on Monday staged a protest rally outside the Mardan Press Club here to protest raids by local administration and fines.
They gathered at Shamshi Road and were holding placards and banners inscribed with slogans against the local administration. The protesters blocked the road for four hours.
District Nazim Himayatullah Mayar, Naib Nazim Asad Ali and District Public Safety Commission Chairman Abdul Aziz Khan reached Mardan Press Club. They negotiated with the butchers who agreed to end the protest and dispersed peacefully.
