Siraj urges Abbasi to attend OIC meeting
LAHORE: The Jamaat e Islami on Thursday continued protesting against the massacre of Palestinian protesters by Israeli army snipers in Gaza.
Addressing a protest demonstration outside Lahore Press Club, JI Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq demanded the Muslim Ummah come up with a clear road map for Palestine’s liberation from the Israeli occupation.
Sirajul Haq said the forces of Kufr had weakened Muslims by involving them in petty internal differences. The Muslim world would have to foil the enemy agenda by sinking its minor differences and forging unity in its ranks, he added.
He said the so-called biggest champion of human rights, the US, had thrown a challenge to the Muslim world by relocating its embassy to Jerusalem. He said the situation was a big challenge for the OIC. He stressed upon Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi to attend the OIC meeting called by Turkey.
The JI chief urged the Muslim countries to expel the US envoys from their lands and call back their ambassadors from the US. He was sure that such a bold step would force the US to yield to the pressure because it could not remain cut off from the Muslim world for Israel’s sake. He demanded the Muslim states to pull out of the United Nations and establish their own Muslims United Nations as the UN had failed to protect the rights of the Muslims and implement its resolutions on Palestine and Kashmir. Sirajul Haq also urged Saudi Arabia and Iran to end their differences. He warned if the Muslim world did not show courage at this time, Israel would not hesitate from pursing its evil designs regarding Holy Makkah and Madina. He said that Israel would not remain confined to Jerusalem as it wanted to occupy the sacred cities of the Muslim world. He deplored that the Muslim rulers had become slaves of the international establishment, therefore, the Muslim world had to face the present situation. He also urged the Pakistani media to raise voice for the rights of the oppressed Kashmiris and Palestinians. Meanwhile, Senator Sirjaul Haq expressed grief over the martyrdom of Military Intelligence Col. Suhail Abid in a clash with terrorists. In a condolence message, he said Col. Suhail Abid did his duty at the cost of his life and the nation was proud of him. He said the services and the sacrifices of the armed forces for wiping out terrorism were commendable. He prayed for the departed soldier and expressed his condolences to the bereaved family. He also prayed for the early recovery of the four army Jawans injured in the clash.
