Kabaddi player found dead
PESHAWAR: A local player of Kabaddi was picked up by unknown armed men in Musazai village, later killed and his body thrown in the nearby locality on Monday.
Relatives said one Hamza went out with friends the other night who later told the family that he was picked up by armed men in a car, impersonating as policemen. The body of the young player was found the next morning. The family alleged police had picked up their son.
A senior police official said the deceased had some issue with a family in their village. The official said the rivals probably picked him up while wearing black clothes, impersonating as cops.
Investigations were launched in the case.In another incident, one Hazrat Noor was killed by unidentified people on the Kohat Road. Police said the victim belonged to Darra Adamkhel and was wanted to the police in a number of terrorism cases.
Woman dies in Mansehra road accident: A newlywed woman died and her four family members sustained injuries when a jeep fell into a ravine in Jabar area on Monday.The jeep was on its way to Mundi from Jabar Davely area of Siran valley when the driver while negotiating a sharp turn lost control over steering wheel and the vehicle skidded off the bumpy road and fell into the ravine.
Nazima Bibi, who had tied the knot last week, her husband Mohammad Siraj, driver Abdul Razzaq and two young boys sustained injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital.In another incident in Baffa area in the district, a woman stated to be the mother of five children reportedly committed suicide.
The woman reportedly consumed a poisonous liquid and was rushed to the King Abdullah Teaching Hospital, where the doctors pronounced her dead.The police in Baffa lodged the first information report and started investigation to ascertain the cause behind the death.
