Pasha lauds incentives for IT sector

KARACHI: The Pakistan Software Houses Association (Pasha) on Monday lauded the incentives package announced by the government for the information technology sector.
Pasha, in a statement, said IT is the fastest growing sector in Pakistan with annual growth of over 30 percent, while its annual exports crossed $2.5 billion. “This is a perfect example of our industry working closely with the government to achieve a common goal, the long term growth of our economy,” the association said, referring to the incentives package.
Last week, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi announced extension in tax holiday on IT exports from 2019 to 2025, five percent cash reward on IT exports, five percent sales tax on IT-enabled services.
