Two women murdered by husbands in Okara From Our Correspondent OKARA: Two women were murdered by their husbands in separate incidents here. In the first incident, Mustafa had contracted marriage with Kausar Bibi sometime ago at Chak 40/4L. Mustafa wanted to contacted second marriage but his wife Kausar was against it. On Wednesday, Mustafa allegedly strangled his wife Kausar. Later, he informed the parents of Kausar about her sudden death, who rushed to the house and took the body with them. In the meantime, someone called Shahbore police and narrated the whole incident. Police have registered a case and started investigation. In the second incident, Samina Bibi had contracted marriage with Khurram Shahzad Khokhar of Canal Bungalow near Chak 1/4-L about five months ago. On March 23, Samina’s parents, residents of Chak 15/EB, Arifwala, received a phone call from Khurram Shahzad that she had suddenly died. To it, they came to the house of their son-in-law Khurram and took the body of their daughter Samina with them for burial. When they saw torture marks on the body of Samina, they brought the body back to Okara and got a case registered with Sadr police.
Woman, niece abducted; former also raped for many days From Our Correspondent OKARA: A woman and her niece were abducted by five people while the former was also raped for several days. Farooq, Javed, Gulzar, Nazia Bibi and Asif allegedly abducted Munawar Bibi of Kikrywala village and her niece Saima Bibi on March 16. The accused shifted them to an unknown place where Farooq allegedly raped Munawar Bibi for many days. On Tuesday, the victim got a chance and escaped from their custody. Satghara police have registered a case and started investigation.
