This refers to the article ‘More provinces’ (May 1) by Dr Sania Nishtar. The writer is correct to point out that there is an urgent need for changing the status of certain regions of the country, keeping in view the common man at the grassroots level.
The people of Fata have suffered a great deal not only because of terrorism and counterterrorism, but also because of the vested interests of a few and the poor governance of the authorities. It is time the status of the region got changed for good.
