Rootsians high achievers ceremony

Rawalpindi: Roots School System, Adyala Campus held annual parents day & high achievers ceremony to honour their Montessori high achievers of junior school

The theme ‘Magical Wonderland’ was visible in the atmosphere. The auditorium was adorned with children’s photographs wearing gowns and caps, giving the message of hope and promise. Mrs. Riffat Mushtaq, Founder and Chairperson Roots School System and Brach Head Ms. Shabana Azhar welcomed the guests and parents.

Brig (r) Dr. Muhammad Sultan Muzaffar (Sitara-I- Imtiaz), Principal, Professor of surgery and CEO Yusra Medical and Dental College, Islamabad was the chief guest. The programme began with the recitation of the Holy Quran followed by a ‘Hamd’ by children.

The young performers rocked the auditorium by their lively entertaining performances. The event lead to a need for students to be able to communicate, function and create change personally, socially, economically and politically on local, national and global levels. In this event young Rootsians really showed by their creative performances focusing that how we mean ‘special’ by the word ‘education’ at Roots because a lot of focus is on the holistic development of child, beyond the school learning opportunities and exhilaration of experience through engagement and participation.

Each event was thrilling, captivating and spellbinding. Young students of grade 5 were attired in striking shimmery blue and silver costumes and showcased enthralling Chinese Ribbon dance. Little toddlers from Montessori created a magic on stage in the colourful attire of clowns. Students displayed fascinating Fairy wings dance, thrilling gymnastics/karate display and cat dance. Last but not the least students showcased national songs imbued with patriotism and nationhood spirit. They gave a message of unity in their performance. Almost 300 young kids took the stage by storm- each one seemed the best performer. Their actions, acting, cohesion in steps left all of us dazed and thunderstruck. In the end an astounding School Choir Song “I have a dream” spellbound the audience. The parents and the audience were awestruck by the spectacular performances which were so magnificently perceived, designed and presented with a panorama of colours all over the stage that simply mesmerized the crowd.

Finally the young children walking up on the stage in flooded lights, wearing graduate gowns and caps, holding scrolls. Next High Achievers from Junior School were presented with shields and talent awards. At the end teachers who had worked relentlessly to make the event a memorable one were awarded appreciation shields.

Founder Chairperson Roots School System congratulated the parents of the Montessori graduates and high achievers and thanked them for their overwhelming support in Roots School System.

The chief guest commended the commitment of Roots School towards quality education and lauded the selfless devotion of Mrs. Riffat Mushtaq, and the teaching faculty of Roots for maintaining highest standards of excellence in academics as well as other co-curricular and extra-curricular activities at national as well as international level. The programme concluded with beautiful memories to cherish.
