Housing society guard shot dead

LAHORE: A security guard of a local housing society was gunned down by some unidentified gunmen in the limits of Kahna police on Tuesday. The victim was identified as Suhail Khokhar. Some unidentified armed men approached the victim and shot him to death. Police shifted the body to morgue for autopsy.

LABOURER DIES: A 24-year-old labourer was killed by a speeding car near Karool Ghatti, Ring Road. The victim identified as Victor Masih served in Lahore Waste Management. Police shifted the body to morgue.

TWO INJURED: Two people were injured in a gas cylinder explosion at Orange Line Station No 9. Upon being informed, the rescuers rushed to the scene and shifted the injured to a local hospital where their condition was said to be out of danger. The gas leakage explosion was so powerful that it shattered windowpanes of the station and nearby houses. Officials of SPU, CTD and other law enforcement agencies visited the spot to ascertain the cause of the explosion. However, local police found no foul play in the explosion.
