While travelling from Wah Cantt to Rawalpindi, I have always witnessed heaps of garbage strewn across the road. The revolting stench that emanates from the garbage makes it impossible for people to stand along the road for a long time. Those who are assigned to clean these areas are seldom seen performing their duties with diligence.
In addition, the pavement that divides the two roads and that is meant to plant trees is barren. The space has turned into a small bin by people. The authorities concerned need to take relevant steps to discard waste in an appropriate manner to create a healthy environment.
