Woman slaughters son in Mansehra

MANSEHRA: A woman allegedly slaughtered her two-year-old son in Oghi tehsil here early Tuesday morning, police sources said.The sources said that Nagina Bibi reportedly killed her son Mohammad Hassan and had been unconscious since then.
“We tried to enter the room of my daughter-in-law when my grandson started crying, but the door was locked from inside. I and my daughter broke into the room and saw the child lying in a pool of blood. My daughter-in-law was standing beside him holding a bloodstained dagger,” said Abdul Qayyum, grandfather of the child.
He claimed that Nagina Bibi, who was the mother of two children, killed her son with the dagger. Iftikhar Ahmad, head constable at Darband Police Station, said that an FIR was registered against Nagina Bibi under section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code. He said the accused would be arrested after she regained consciousness. “We have started investigation to know the motive behind the murder,” he added.
