Illegal bus stands removed
Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) in collaboration with ICT Administration and Islamabad Police conducted a mega operation here on Thursday removing all illegal bus stands located at Faizabad. An official of CDA said the operation was carried out against bus stands operating illegally.
In this mega operation all operational staff of Enforcement Directorate under the supervision of Muhammad Ramzan Deputy Director, staff of DMA, MCI headed by Ali Sufian Director has took part while none from Environment Wing participated during the operation. Ali Javed, ICT, Magistrate, along with the reserve police provided magisterial cover and also supervised the activity.
During the operation, two excavator machines were also taken from MPO directorate of the authority for demolition of massive sheds erected by the six bus stands for parking their vehicles dismantled. The stands of transport companies against which the action was taken included Islamabad Express, Shuja Express, Raja Travels 1 Raja Travel 2 and Raja Travel 3. The vehicles found parked beneath the sheds were taken prior to demolition. Some miscreants also tried to create hurdles in the operation but the situation was brought under control.
