Lecture on Kashmir
LAHORE: Punjab University Centre for South Asian Studies (CSAS) organised a lecture “Kashmir: Current Situation and Pakistan’s Policy Options”.
According to a press release, Dr Nazir Hussain from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad was the keynote speaker while Director CSAS Prof Dr Umbreen Javaid, Assistant Professor Dr Abdul Majid, faculty members, students and MPhil/PhD scholars were present.
In his lecture, Dr Nazir Hussain said Kashmir was the jugular vein of Pakistan. He discussed Pak-India relations in historical context. He elaborated the atrocities which were going on in Kashmir and said that Kashmiri people were suffering a lot of due to hostile Pak-India relations. He shed light on foreign policy of Pakistan regarding Kashmir issue.
