Two die as bridge collapses in Haripur

HARIPUR: Two persons were killed and two others sustained injuries when a bridge connecting scores of villages with the city collapsed here on Thursday.
Police said that two brothers, Hassan Razi and Usama Razi, residents of Kakha Pharala village, were on their way to Haripur city on a bike when a portion of the Chappar Bridge on river Dorr collapsed. Both died on the spot.
A motor car bearing registration number ISB-709 also fell down the bridge causing injuries to two persons. The injured were identified as Khalid Hayat and Chaudhry Umar, residents of Jatti Pind village. The Chappar Bridge was built on river Dorr to connect hundreds of villages with Haripur city.
