Quetta attack
The recent attack that was carried out near a church in Quetta has been strongly condemned. It is unfortunate that minority communities in our country have to live under constant fear. Such incidents have occurred in the past as well. But nothing constructive has been done by law-enforcement agencies to provide a peaceful atmosphere to minority communities.
Balochistan has been the nucleus for various forms of terrorist activities for a long time now. It is deplorable that the government has failed to bring peace to the province. In addition, it is being said that the province will embark on the journey to progress under CPEC. However, the question is: how will people benefit from economic policies when they have been deprived of security? It is the responsibility of the government and law-enforcement agencies to restore peace in the region. We must not forget this.
