Invisible illness
For a healthier lifestyle, it is important to focus on both mental and physical health. It is unfortunate that in our society mental health isn’t given much importance. This is why people who suffer from depression, anxiety and mental stress continue to suffer in silence. In addition, many people still believe that mental illnesses do not need proper attention. They advise people to go out and enjoy their life and feel good about themselves. But this is not the way to treat mental illness.
Proper checkup and regular follow-ups are required to treat a mental illness. People should be encouraged to go see a doctor and get their illness treated. We need to fight the stigma that has enveloped mental health. We need to fight the mindset of the people and encourage people to treat mental illness in the same manner in which they treat physical illness.
