LAHORE: A meeting of the PML-N Balochistan chapter was held Saturday with the party head, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz, in the chair and appointed acting office-bearer for province.
According to the decision made by Shahbaz, Lt-Gen (retd) Abdul Qadir Baloch as acting president of PML-N Balochistan. The other appointments are: Jamal Shah Kakar and Mir Afzal Mandokhel acting vice-presidents, Saidal Khan acting general secretary, Yunus Khan Baloch acting additional general secretary and Farid Afghan Khan as acting secretary information.
Besides the newly-appointed leaders, Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Lt Gen (retd) Abdul Qadir Baloch, former chief minister Sanaullah Zehri, MNAs Zahid Hamid and Hamza Shahbaz Sharif, Speaker Balochistan Assembly Raheela Durrani and Senator Dr Asif Kirmani and others attended the meeting. The meeting also prayed for the early recovery of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz.
Shahbaz praised the services of Zehri for the party and said he was working for the party with dedication. They strengthen the PML-N Balochistan jointly under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif, said the chief minister who added that he visit Quetta soon. The party office-bearers expressed their complete confidence in Nawaz and Shahbaz Sharif, and said they would come up to their expectations.
