CHARSADDA: Awami National Party (ANP) President Asfandyar Wali Khan said on Friday that Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar had exposed tall claims of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led provincial government about its so-called good governance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Addressing a gathering in Kalyas here, he said the CJP exposed the claimants of change, who had miserably failed to deliver.
He claimed the PTI leaders were busy fixing inaugural plaques at the sites of the uplift project initiated by the previous ANP-led coalition government to hoodwink the people.
“The PTI leaders can no more deceive the people in the name of the so-called change,” he remarked.
Asfandyar said those who were conspiring to roll back the 18th Amendment would be dealt with an iron fist.
“We will not tolerate the bid to tweak the 18th Amendment,” he warned
Holding the then interior minister Aftab Sherpao responsible for the May 12 carnage in Karachi during the Musharraf regime, the ANP leader said that he (Sherpao) handed over 4,000 Pakistanis to foreigners during his stint.
He further claimed that he was in the possession of documentary evidence to prove the involvement of Aftab Sherpao in the infamous Mehran Bank scandal.
“Those who pandered to the whims of a dictator are now talking about the rights of Pakhtuns,” he sneered.
