GUJRANWALA: Additional Sessions Judge Zahid Iqbal Khan on Friday awarded life term to Zulfiqar in a blasphemy case registered with Ferozewala police. The prosecution said that the convict had committed a blasphemy in March 2013.

Aman committee member shot dead

GUJRANWALA: Unidentified people gunned down an Aman Committee member at Mohallah Ghoray Shah on Thursday night.
Mazhar Naqvi and his nephew Haider Shah were on way home when unidentified people opened fire on their car. As a result, Mazhar was killed on the spot while Haider remained unhurt. Baghbanpura police have registered a case and started investigation.
