Vendors in our country are using roads and footpaths as personal property. Shopkeepers set up stalls on footpaths, blocking the way for pedestrians. Some food shops use footpaths for their seating arrangements. For pedestrians, walking on main roads is quite dangerous.
It is unfortunate that the authorities concerned are not taking steps to clean the footpaths. Citizens too need to force the relevant authorities to remove such setups.
