Punjab National Junior Squash finals today
LAHORE: The main finals of 1st Punjab National Junior Squash Championship 2018 in under-15, under-13 and under-11 will be played on April 14 at Punjab Squash Complex.
The activity will start at 11.00 am and chief guest will be Shoaib Mir, CEO Diamond Paints Pvt Ltd. Tayyab Rauf and Noor Zaman qualified for Under-15 main final to be played at 3.30 pm. All 6 semifinals in under-15, under-13 and under-11 were played on Friday.
In under-15 first semifinal, Tayyab Rauf of Punjab beat Noor Zaman of KPK by 11/9, 7/11, 11/5, 11/6 (28 minutes). Both played very good game but Tayyab Rauf who is from Army played a better good and beat his strong opponent in 28 minutes.
In 2nd semifinal both players were from KPK. Muhammad Hamaza beat Waleed Khalil by 11/9, 4/11, 11/4, 11/6 in 28 minute match. This was match also worth watching.
In under-13 semifinal both semifinalists winners were from Punjab and losers from KPK. Anus Bukhari (PB) beat Muhammad Hanif (KP) score 11/9, 11/4, 11/5 (19 minutes). Anus Bukhari played better squash and beat his opponent.
In the second semifinal Usman Nadeem (PB) beat M.Shoaib Afzal (KP) 11/8, 12/10, 11/5 (22 minutes). In under-11 first semifinal, Abdullah Nawaz (KP) beat Varun Asif (PB) 15/13, 12/10, 11/8 (26 minutes) and in second semifinal, Abdullah Nadeem (PB) beat Nadeem Khan of KP by 11/7, 6/11, 12/10, 11/2 (30 minutes).
