NAB authorises several inquiries
PESHAWAR: The Regional Board Meeting (RBM) of the National Accountability Bureau Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has authorised several inquiries.
A press release said the meeting was chaired by Farmanullah Khan, NAB KP director general.
The board authorised two inquiries against employees of Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) and others about alleged corruption and corrupt practices and embezzlement of funds in the Regi Model Township schemes.
It allowed inquiry against Abdul Samad, Director of Directorate of Archaeology and Museums, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, for corruption and corrupt practices.
Another inquiry was authorised against officers/officials of Revenue Department, Charsadda district for allegedly transferring government land measuring 22 kanals situated at Nehri area Tangi Tehsil, Charsadda.
One inquiry was authorised against employees of Small Industrial Development Board (SIDB), Mardan for alleged embezzlement of funds in Small Industrial Estate, Mardan.
Another inquiry was authorised against Dr Zakir Hussain, agency surgeon, Mohmand Agency, and others for corruption and corrupt practices.
The subjects are alleged to have embezzled millions of rupees funds allocated for medicines, contingency repair, payment of daily wages, etc.
The board authorised inquiry against Ziaullah Khan and Noroz Khan (private persons) of Bajaur Agency (so-called agents of Mufti Ehsan) for cheating public at large on the pretext of Mudarraba business.
It allowed inquiry against officers/officials of Mardan Medical Complex, (MMC) Mardan for corruption and corrupt practices, and an inquiry against Fazle Ahad, owner of Blue City near Rashakai Interchange Nowshera, for cheating public in investments in Blue City Housing society.
Another inquiry was allowed against Zahid Hussain, naib teshildar, Nowshera for corruption.
The board also ordered investigation against employees of Galiyat Development Authority and others for corruption and corrupt practices.
Besides, the Board approved filling of reference against accused Shah Rehman and others of Mansehra regarding cheating public at large on the pretext of sending them for Hajj and Umrah.
