When fire struck
The season of ‘short circuit’ fires is back again. If we seriously consider this proposition, we will notice that these mishaps usually occur when the rulers are busy with their own problems and have no time for the safety of people or for the safe keeping of legal documents – documents showing mega financial transactions. In this day and age, all such records should be transferred to hard discs, made copies of them and then stored in different government-approved bank safety deposit.
But there are still some ifs and buts. First, the evidence converted into a soft copy should be admissible and acceptable in the court of law otherwise it will be an exercise in futility. Second, such data transfers should be made under the close supervision of a team of honest professionals to avoid any fabrication. Data that belongs to important cases should be kept in secure and safe places, and only authorised personnel should know their exact location.
