PPP to sweep election: leader
PESHAWAR: Pakistan People’s Party, Women Wing, secretary information and former MPA Mehar Sultana said that her party would sweep the upcoming general election as the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf had done nothing for welfare of the people during the last five years.
Addressing women activists of the party here, she said the PPP had always promoted democratic norms and never compromised on principles and rights of the masses. “The people have now realised that only the PPP can steer the country out of the prevalent morass that is why many workers from different political parties are joining the party,” Mehar Sultana believed.
She said she had reactivated the women wing, initiated membership drive and enhanced party’s vote bank.
Mehar Sultana said the women would play an active role in the upcoming election and the PPP would emerge a strong political force.
