Book launch
Islamabad: Friends, family and literacy circle gathered at Islamabad Club here on Saturday at a book launch ceremony of a renowned social activist, cooking expert and counsellor Kokab Khawaja.
‘Hello America’ is her 25th book hence commemorating her silver jubilee of publish books on varied topics. This book is a daily diary of her six months stay in USA after getting her green card. She has shared her experience in USA and feelings and love for her own country Pakistan.
Akhtar Waqar Azeem highly appreciated her cooking talents as she has been the pioneer of cooking shows on TV. Khawaja Najam ul Hasan said that she has many facets of her personality and she has justified all the talents she has been blessed with.
English news-caster Sofia Shahid, Dr Tahmina and Shaheer Elahi spoke about her pleasant personality, optimism, and her social work. Kokab Khwaja is not only a cooking expert but she
has excelled in other fields like mental health, short story writing, gardening,
antique collecting and social work.
