LAHORE: Partly cloudy weather was observed in the city here Monday while Met office predicted similar weather conditions for the next 24 hours.
Met office said a moderate westerly wave is affecting upper and central parts of the country and likely to persist until tomorrow (Wednesday). They predicted that rain-thunderstorm with gusty winds is expected at scattered places in upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Faisalabad, divisions), Islamabad, KP, Fata, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, while at isolated places in northeast Balochistan (Quetta, Zhob, Kalat, Naseerabad divisions), southern Punjab (Multan, Bahawalpur, DG Khan, Sahiwal divisions) and upper Sindh (Sukkur and Larkana divisions). Rainfall was recorded at several cities, including Dir 48mm, Kalam 25mm, Malam Jabba, Saidu Sharif 20mm, Kakul 19mm, Lower Dir 18mm, Balakot 15mm, Peshawar (A/P 10mm, city 05mm), Cherat, Drosh, Mirkhani 07mm, Risalpur, Parachinar 06mm, Pattan 04mm, Chitral 01mm, Muzaffarabad 37mm, Garhi Dupatta 26mm, Rawalakot 16mm, Kotli 09mm, Mangla 25mm, Noorpur Thal 19mm, Gujranwala 14mm, MB Din 13mm, Sargodha (City 12mm, AP 11mm), Jhelum 11mm, Sialkot (AP 10mm, City 07mm), Murree, Joharabad 09mm, Gujrat, DG Khan 08mm, Kamra 05mm, Islamabad and Chakwal 03mm.
