Inter-School/Collegiate Tennis finals today

LAHORE: The finals of SICAS Inter-School/Collegiate Tennis Championship 2018 will be played on Friday (today) at 4.30pm at Punjab Lawn tennis Courts Bagh-e-Jinnah.

Sheheryar Salamat, Director SICAS and Salamat School System will be chief guest of final. Quarterfinals and semifinals were played on Thursday.

In U-18 boys first semifinal, Bilal Asim of LGS beat Hassan Ali of Native School System by 7-5, and in the second semifinal, Hamza Jawad of American Lycetuff beat Muhammad Huzaifa of LGS by 6-2 and qualified for main final. Earlier, Hassan Ali beat Harris Wahala by 6-2 in the quarterfinals, Bilal Asim beat Hashim Ali by 6-4, Muhammad Huzaifa beat Abdul Hanan Khan by 6-2, Hamaza Jawad beat Zain Ch by 6-1.

In girls U-18 semifinals, Nida Akram of Lahore College for Women beat Mahnoor of Govt Lady MacLarin High School by 6-1 and Zahra Suleman of DHA Senior School for Girls beat Malika Malik of LGS by 6-1 and qualified for finals. In quarterfinal Nida Akram beat Khadija 6-0, Mahnoor beat Alina Nasim 6-2, Zahra Suleman beat Ayesha Asim 6-1 and Malyeka Malik beat Ayesha 6-3.

In U-14 boys First semifinal Bilal Asim beat Muhammad Harris Wahla by 6-3, 2nd semifinal will continue here. In first quarterfinals Bilal Asim beat Muahmmad Harris Wahala by 6-4, Bilal Asim beat Ahtesham Arif by 6-2, Shaeel Tahir beat Hamza Jawad by 6-3, Hassan Ali beat Haider Ali Rizwan 6-2.

In U-14 girls’ semifinal, Zahra Suleman beat Haleema Sajjad 6-0 and Aqsa Akram beat Atifila Arif 6-4.In boys/girls U-12 semifinal, Shaheel Tahir beat Hamaza Ali Rizwan 6-1. In quarterfinals Bilal Asim beat Abubaker Khalil 6-0, Haider Ali Rizwan beat Asad 7-6, Hamaza Ali Rizwan beat Ahtesham Arif 6-1, Shaheel Tahir beat Husnain Ali Rizwan 6-3.

In boys/girls U-10 semi-finals, Ahtesham Humyun beat Abdullah Sajjad 6-0, Hamaza Ali Rizwan beat Asad 6-4. In quarterfinals, Ehtesham Humayun beat Labika Durrab 6-4, Abdullah Sajjad beat Aqsa Akram 6-3, Asad beat Ameer Mizari 6-2, Hamaza Ali Rizwan beat Rai Waleed Bhatti 6-2.
