Chinese envoy announces scholarships
Islamabad: Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing announced scholarships for Pakistani students in Chinese universities and said the best Pakistani varsities could recommend their students to Chinese embassy for admission in their Chinese contemporaries.
The announcement was made during the second day of the China Cultural Day celebrations at the Comsats Institute of Information Technology (CIIT) here. The event was organised by the CIIT China Study Centre in collaboration with the Chinese Embassy. The first day of the activities was marked by the visit of Chinese Cultural Counsellor You Yi along other dignitaries from Chinese Embassy.
They were welcomed by senior administration and faculty members of the CIIT. The first day was highlighted by Arts Exhibition titled ‘BaharAyi’ where different renowned Pakistani artists displayed their visual art forms comprising miniature, prints, calligraphy, sculptures, special paper-cutting arts, drawings, paintings and crafts representing all provinces of Pakistan.
