If you happen to travel to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) districts like Peshawar or Kohat, you’ll see that the roads and drains are in shambles. This is because they are being renovated in the last year – as the incumbent provincial government braces for fresh elections. The public is in great distress as KP’s chief minister and his team of contractors is busy uprooting the existing structures to impress the public to earn votes for the 2018 elections.
For the last four-and-a-half years they were busy staging sit-ins and abusing everyone who came in their way. It is only now that they have started all the construction and renovation work that they should have ordered to begin in the very first year of their term. Certainly, the quality of work carried out in a short span may not be of proper quality. Lets pray and hope that these politicians have matured after wasting one full term in their adventures, and that will perform better after the next elections and put the country back on the path to progress.
