SWABI: The University of Leicester, United Kingdom, and the Women’s University, Swabi, (WUS) have inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish and strengthen the academic collaboration.
A press release issued on Friday stated that a ceremony to sign the agreement was held at the campus of University of Leicester. Prof Paul Monks, pro-vice-chancellor University of Leicester, and Prof. Khanzadi Fatima Khattak, vice-chancellor Women University, signed the agreement.
This agreement has planned to bring the academia of the two universities on a single platform to work and launch joint research projects.
Prof Khanzadi said that the MoU would enable the students, faculty and staff of the Women’s University to study abroad in different programmes in the UK, participate in the summer schools, pay academic visits and attend the training programmes.
“We are fully committed to equip our students with modern knowledge, strengthen the faculty and staff and bring on a par with the international standards to achieve the mission of empowering women through education,” she said.
