ISLAMABAD: Elections of hockey clubs at district level are to be completed within the next three months.Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Executive Board, that met here on Thursday, approved procedure of elections at district and provincial level.
“The days of scrutiny/elections shall be announced shortly. It was also decided that inter- club championship at district level will be conducted by 30th April 2018 under respective provincial hockey associations,” a PHF official said. It was also decided that a system has to be devised for a club to qualify for acquiring voting rights. Certain measures were discussed by the house for betterment of the hockey at club level.
President also explained the reasons for removing Khalid Bashir (Associate Secretary) for continuously violating the code of conduct of PHF and issuing statements against the policies of PHF. His removal was initiated on disciplinary grounds with a heavy heart. The members of the Executive Board unanimously endorsed the decision of PHF.
