KARACHI: Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Executive Board meeting was held at PMDC Office Islamabad on Thursday.
The meeting was chaired by president PHF Brig (R) Khalid Khokhar and attended by Secretary PHF, provincial secretaries, Chairperson Women’s Wing Khushbakht Shujat, Vice President Muhammad Saeed, Brig Ghulam Jilani Director Army Sports Directorate and Technocrats Syed Musaddiq Hussain, Naveed Alam and Qasim Khan.
Addressing the Executive Board, the president mentioned that PHF management intended to make the existing system of scrutiny and elections as transparent as possible.He also gave the reasons for removing Associate Secretary Khalid Bashir who he said had been continuously violating the code of conduct of PHF and issuing statements against the policies of PHF.
His removal was initiated on disciplinary grounds with a heavy heart, he added. The Secretary PHF announced Inter-club Championship at district level to be conducted by April 30 by provincial associations.It was also decided that a system would be devised for a club to qualify for acquiring voting rights.
