When cricket won
March 25 proved to be a historic and memorable day for residents of Karachi. On this day, cricket returned to the city after nearly a decade. Thousands of people watched the final match of the PSL – played between Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United – and celebrated the victory of ‘cricket’ in the cricket-starved country. People are hopeful that more such events will be held in Karachi and the rest of the country to provide much-needed entertainment options to the people of Pakistan.
Our country has a lot of potential and our players can do wonders in the cricketing world. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) should arrange more such matches so that international players can tour our country and play matches on Pakistani soil.
