The efforts made by the government with regard to the construction of Skardu Road should be lauded. This mega project ushered Gilgit-Baltistan into a new era of prosperity and development. The road will play a pivotal role in strengthening tourism in the region.
The road will also reduce the hours-long journey to Skardu to at least two hours. Residents of GB hope that the relevant authorities will complete the project within the expected three-years period and ensure that quality and the specifications of the road are not compromised.
