The Karachi police chief issued show-cause notices to five SHOs on Monday following complaints received against them through the department’s online FIR registration facility for not registering complainants’ cases. AIGP Karachi Ghulam Qadir Thebo issued the notices to the SHOs of PIB, Shershah, Sachal, Surjani Town and Sharea Faisal police stations. This is for the second time in the last couple of months that action had been taken against SHOs for not registering FIRs.
