Boxer case adjourned

The Lahore High Court has adjourned the hearing by April 10 on a petition filed by a relative of former police inspector, Abid Boxer, allegedly involved in extrajudicial killings and accused of connections with the underworld and land grabbing.
Jafar Rafi, father-in-law of Abid Boxer, had filed the petition seeking Boxer’s protection on the plea that police might kill him in fake police encounter. On Wednesday, Justice Anwar ul Haq took up the petition but the hearing were adjounred as the counsel for the petitioner could not appear before the court.
