During the recent years, the entire country has undergone the process of rapid urbanisation. This has greatly affected the habitats of the wildlife that is found in the country. Many may not know that Pakistan is home to myriad species of fauna, flora and fungi. However, during the development process many such species have been wiped out completely. At present, with the rapid increase in population, the country is expected to accommodate the population increase.
While some species demonstrate adaptability to this brave new world, there are many more species that simply cannot cope. We need real commitment to make room for nature.
