Customs to observe extended hours

KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Wednesday announced that Customs stations across the country will observe extended hours on March 30 and 31 for collection of duty and taxes.
All Customs stations would remain open and observe extended working hours till 8:00pm on Friday, March 30 and till 10:00pm on March 31 (Saturday) for collection of duty and taxes, it added.
The FBR has directed chief collectors of Customs to coordinate with the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), National Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and other scheduled commercial banks to ensure transfer of taxes collected by respective banks to the SBP on the same date for reflecting in the collection for the month of March 2018.
