KARACHI: Fatima Fertilizer Company Limited posted profit of Rs9.27 billion for the year ended December 31, 2017, up a little one percent over the preceding year, translating into earnings per share (EPS) of Rs4.41, a bourse filing said on Wednesday.
Fatima Fertilizer recorded profit of Rs9.39 billion with EPS of Rs4.47 in 2016, a notice to Pakistan Stock Exchange said.
The fertiliser manufacturer announced a final cash dividend of Rs2.25/share for the year. The company’s sales amounted to Rs45.37 billion in 2017 as against Rs42.39 billion in 2016. Cost of sales also increased to Rs26.69 billion from Rs23.7 billion. Annual distribution cost and administrative expenses stood at Rs3.61 billion and Rs1.74 billion, respectively as compared to Rs2.72 billion and Rs1.48 billion a year ago. Finance cost, however, fell to Rs2.71 billion in 2017 from Rs3.24 billion in 2016.
