KARACHI: Mari Petroleum Company Limited (MPCL), one of the leading oil and gas companies in Pakistan, and MOL Group of Hungary on Wednesday discussed strategic cooperation on future business opportunities in local and international upstream exploration and production projects, a statement said.
The management of the two organisations decided to enhance technical knowledge and industry experiences, allowing for further discussion of potential international upstream growth synergies and possible partnerships, it added.
MPCL Managing Director Lt Gen Ishfaq Nadeem Ahmed (Retd) said that Mari Petroleum is looking forward to enhance the joint partnerships with MOL Group beyond the Karak Block and there are numerous opportunities and potential for hydrocarbon reserves that can be harnessed for the future energy needs of the region. MOL Group head Dr Berislav Gaso said that the group is delighted to work with MPCL, which is a fast growing company and exploring the untapped potentials of hydrocarbons in Pakistan.
