HANGU: Differences emerged in the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Hangu chapter after the issuance of show-cause notices to two party leaders.
Sources said that the supporters of PTI district leader Yousaf Khan chanted slogans against Haji Khayal Zaman Orakzai during the visit of Chief Minister Pervez Khattak to the district. They said Yousaf Khan had allegedly instigated his supporters to raise slogans against Khayal Zaman in a bid to secure the party ticket for the next general election.
The party leadership issued notices to Yousaf Khan and Amanullah for violating the party discipline and suspended their party membership till March 30. The notices warned them that their membership would be terminated if they failed to explain their position.
The publication of the news about the notices enraged Yousaf Khan who alleged that journalists had received money for the ‘fake news’. The Hangu Press Club through a statement dismissed the PTI leader’s allegation.
