MANSEHRA: Four female lawyers were elected as members of executive body of District Bar Association (DBA) on Saturday.
The District Bar Association election would be held on March 31. A record number of women lawyers, for the first time, would exercise their right to vote in the election.Ayaz Khan, the chairman of election board of District Bar Association, a female lawyer was elected unopposed as joint secretary and three as members of executive council.
“I think effective role of women in district bar is rapidly increasing, which is highly commendable and encouraging for the marginalised segments of society,” Shahjehan Khan Swati, the member of Judicial Commission of Pakistan said.
